Surprise Surprise, the Employer Exemption that my chief put in for me (because I'm a \"Key Personnel\") got approved!
So in a nutshell, I'm not going anymore. Sometimes I feel guilty for not being there, then other times I look at my daughter and I'm relieved. I'm still on the list, but I'm a whole tier down now. They would have to run out of Inactive Ready Reservists before I get called again.
That wasn't American Soldiers. We've already gone through our tortureous scandal with Abu-Gharib.
Anyway, back on topic. I think I'm going to go see Final Destination 3 this weekend. I just saw 2 a few months ago and I thought it was light years better than 1, alot more gore and freakish ways of dying. I thought the one lady at the end would make it until that firefighter starting trying to get her out of the vehicle with the Jaws of Life and then *Bam!* the airbag deployed and....

That was just great.
Sorry about that, I just caught a glimpse of it on the news yesterday. They said \"Soldiers\" so I automatically figured American soldiers, sorry
I hate how the media makes what our country is doing in Iraq look like a bad thing. I don't really watch the news too much, but it definitely seems like that from the small amount that I see.
You're right Drew, the media has a tendency to twist things. But also keep in mind that sometimes, these things DO happen. We still follow Geneva Convention regulations regarding Rules of Engagement and the treatment of prisoners. We're not allowed to torture or maim prisoners and for the most part, we follow that. That's what makes us the Good guys.
But like I said, sometimes it does happen. Not even the most charismatic leaders can control every single soldier at every single moment. Troops sometimes have to make their own decisions, and as it is human nature to do, sometimes we make bad ones.
yea the media does try to twist and push and pull us to see its obviously jaded and onesided veiws and unfortunatly most us us cant see thru it and get sucked in.
