I saw someone's sig and it wasn't until that point I realised this site only seems to have content for video games. What about tabletop games? Like thisone I've ben fond of since I was but a wee lad.

There is warhammer, which is a a fantasy version. The idea is you have a bunch of models which you place on a table to represent an army. depending on what they are and what they are equipped with determines what the can do in terms of movement and destruction. It also determines the points they cost so you have to be strategic even when assembling a force, since  battle will have limits(1,00 points, 1,500, 2,00). In warhammer youhave your orcs andelves, but also some original guys such as the Skaven(rat men) and Lizardmen.

I however play 40k, which is a sci-fi version that takes place in the 41st century where the galaxy has ben torn apart by war. Humanity ison the brink of extinction and lives in an empire protected by space marines. Then there are numerous alien factions you can choose from.

The models are pricey, but you wouldn't beleive the detail these guys can get on a 3cm tall pile of plastic. Plus, it's a fun strategy war game. Anyone else already familiar with it?

If I wasn't so stupid, I would've taken up on Mordheim or any kind of alternative, which doesn't require me to dishout 20€ per model in paints and the accessories.

But, proxy games are rule!
