Wii for me.

Mainly because Nintendo has the best first-party (and exclusive) titles of any of the systems. Plus, the majority of top 360 & PS3 games will more than likely be ported to PC eventually and will have the usual better sound and graphics, be cheaper and be far more stable.

Well Guys in my opinion first I would say you can’t really compare the WII to the PS3 and XBOX-360, and the WII is a different console entirely, being its not deigned to beat up performance, and graphics, its not even there to look good on the floor while playing.

That's a lie. Have you seen a picture of the Wii? Don't give up your day job and become a design analyst, please. It was designed as competition, therefore it has to be compared with the PS3 and XBox360 on it's merits, Regardless of what the console focuses on.

Deadloss wrote:
The WII is a family orientated Console, the games are deigned for friends and family to enjoy themselves together while playing on a computer Console

The Wii is a family AND hardcore gamer audience caterer. The only ones who won't be catered for are graphics whores. Which is no matter, because the Wii's games still look bloody beautiful.

Deadloss wrote:
As for the competition between PS3 and XBOX I would have to vote for the PS3, being much a more demanding console in performance, and extreme stability the PS3 will win my vote.

PS3 is NOT much more stable. [Insert an incredulous amount of their recalled products here] And just for the record, developers despise Sony for running their console on Linux, as it's "harder to programme for".

If anyone is going to have the floor wiped with them, it's Sony. XBox360 is very competitively priced compared to the PS3. And the Wii is cheap enough for parents to give it to their kids for Christmas. And I'm talking about your average parents here. Not ye "ellohell I'm so cool cuz I gots teh PSThweez from pawents forw chwistmas." Rich bastards.

I personally go for the 360 since I already own one, PS3 is too expensive, and the Wii I just find abit insane since my mate bought one and had to go buy a new lamp for his room since his hand went straight thru it.

I think that all of the systems are great. I just think they fall into 3 different niches. I like them all. I have a SLI 8800GTX setup though where I can probably pawn even the next gen console after the PS3, why would I need one?

Also, I forgot to mention. Why do people connect what people have as far as game systems to their financial situation? I know a guy who drives a beat up old 1987 Toyota truck that's wife owns a new Mercedes and they have a 2 story home with a basement that's worth about $600,000. People who have the Wii aren't always poor people.. it's just a preference. The Wii may be an "aquired taste", but a lot of people already have a taste for it and will continue to. As for the PS3, it was lauched with bad timing. The world isn't ready for Blu-Ray yet..... Most people don't have a tv that goes over 480P much less 1080P. Blu-Ray is also disgustingly expensive to manufacture. They should have though out their options before ever designing a system. As for the XBOX, besides the overheating and massive power consumption..it's a great deal all around. 1080P just like the PS3, sometimes freezes up on you... (Don't you miss that with the NES? LOL) and has the same game situation as the PS3, with the XBOX having a tad bit more games. This is my 6 cents.

Gotta be an Xbox 360, I mean it's HDMI, supports HD-DVD if you get the drive and it's lots cheaper than a PS3. But then again, GTA 4......

I have the Wii not because we're poor but because we're Nintendo fans.  Plus I wasn't going to even look at the PS3 knowing there wasn't anything different about it other than graphics.  Woopdie doo
I buy video game consoles to have fun and as a time filler not because I think the graphics are cool or because I want to feel better about myself knowing I have an overpriced piece of hardware hooked up to my TV.  PONG used to be TONS of fun when it came out and it was black and white (or black and green...) and with a rotary "joystick" and nobody was complaining about graphics    Even SNAKE which was a QBASIC program/game was fun as well and that didn't have much more colors than that.  I think Nintendo went the right direction by making the Wii different from the others.  They're always trying to do that and they've finally accomplished it to the max.

Just bought us Wii Play so I'm off to see what it's like

Just my opinion on it all.

I don't particularly like the X-Box 360, it isn't too great with graphics, though it should be!
The PS3 is way too expensive, but the graphics will be best on this.
The Wii is a fun bit of new technology, with a low price tag, it is best played with family and friends, but would be useless with something like GTA, just wouldn't be easy to play, and the graphics couldn't handle it, so this is were the PC kicks in...

I have never played on an Xbox 360 so i can't say whether it is good or not. But out of the PS3 and the Wii. I still can't really vote as they are both very different.
The Wii has loads of fun, family games which anyone any age can enjoy whereas alot of the PS3s games are more for older people. I know they havn't got many out at the minute. The graphics for the PS3 are brilliant as long as you have a good HDMI cable and a good HD tv. I have a 1080p 47" which is brilliant for the ps3 for games and blue ray films. That is another thing, the wii is just for gaming mostly so they concentrate on that whereas the ps3 has alsorts. It has blue ray so it can be used to play films in brilliant HD.
So it is hard to pick one as they are both brilliant in different ways.

XBox 360 is the ideal console at the moment if you want some decent Graphics. It's not ridiculously expensive, and currently the games look better than their PS3 counterparts (bar Resistance). Plus it didn't try to wow anyone with s***ty gimmicks that attempt to rip off other company's ideas.

[quote="joefireline"]The PS3 is way too expensive, but the graphics will be best on this.

Maybe, after 2 or 3 years. But remember the price of a PS3 is also the cost of your 1080p HDTV. Otherwise you're still better off with the 360.

If the PS2 can handle GTA, then the Wii can. And Nintendo isn't stupid, they DO have a normal controller you know. Not just a Nunchuk.

The Wii isn't as horribly bad with Graphics as people want to believe, It's a lot cleaner than the PS2 ever was, and the graphics aren't that bad (see LoZ:TP).

I vote for the Ps3.

As a gaming console I see the most future potential, and some pretty rocking games as it is.  In one fiscal year Sony said it will have 100 ps3 games out, including Battlefield: Bad Company, COD 4, GTA IV, and many others.

As an entertainment system I use it for all of its features, internet, movies (bluray), pictures, music, and much more.

As a linux system its is a powerful asset to me, I use my ps3 to network render with my linux PC, and I just use it as a standalone linux box.

Also, the PS3 just had a price drop, 60 Gig 499, 80 gig + Motorstorm 599.  Although i bought my ps3 for 599 then added a 320 Gig hard drive to it and I also have motorstorm.
