You know, I posted an honest bug report yesterday, and instead of it being acknowledged and replied to and potentially fixed, the topic was deleted. Poof! No word to me, just gone.

If this happened on Mac GUI, say if someone else posted a bug report, Iwould be more than happy to read it, reply to it, and get the bug fixed. Once I verified the bug to be fixed, the topic would stay out inthe open until hell froze over, and that would be that. EVEN if it turned out that there was no bug, that it was just a temporary glitch, I still wouldn't delete the post with no warning!

But no! We're too high and mighty here at iVirtua! Our site is perfect, so we are going to delete any posts of dissent or that embarass us, even if they are true!

It's the classic cliche of "you can't handle the truth!"

And this isn't the first time I've had posts deleted here with no warning. I post some unpleasant truth about this site, and *poof* it's gone! Zapped away or edited into oblivion.

Yeah, I bet you guys will delete this topic too, since it doesn't suit your all powerful view of yourselves and your site. And maybe this is why your site has never taken off, either.

So I'm gonna post this in a place where it can't be deleted. [ Community Rules/TOS Violation Removed ]

I cant comment on that particular post however moderators have been told to keep an eye on you as you haven't exactly complied with the community rules, have you? we dont just delete posts we take carefull deliberation in deciding if it is to be deleted and we never actually delete the post for good.

I can assure you that iVirtua it's developers and moderators can full 'accept the truth' and that any comments made by our community are taken into cosideration when trying to improve our site, like the new WYSIWYG editor, which members have been asking for, for a long time.

You may have certain jealouses against us here at iVirtua, as we now see that the hard work has taken off and we are now 'booming' with over two thousand members.

I can assure you that the site has taken off and that we are doing very well for ourselfs.

I'd like to see that blog post but it seems that only registered members can see it, shame...

I'm sad that you leaving and hopefully you'll see sense and come back.

All The Best,

William

Oh, and let me thow in another jab here, too. Spymac claims to have 1 M members, but that's disputed: how many are active?

Same for you. Can you prove that even a good percentage of those 2k even post here or even come back?

I don't even care about numbers, so if you keep trying to rub that inmy face, I could really care less. Doing that makes it sound like youare trying to compete with me.

One more thing, Will

Yes, I'm very jealous of any site that has advertisements and uses clip art.

Ok  let me answer a few questions/statements etc.
No first off I am not banned and I have created a user account on MacGUI, secondly I already know that you use phpbb and it doesn't really bother me.

In regard to your CAPITAL lettered statement, first we'd prefer it if you didn't use capital letters as in the internet community it is regarded as SHOUTING.

However I'm not sure why someone deleted your bug report - was it posted in the correct area?

I believe the post is question was:

Quote:

Bug: whenyou delete the first post in the topic, you get an errormessage saying'we can't find the post you were looking for' when itshould redirectyou to the forum or somewhere.

Am I correct?

I will have to look into who deleted the post in question, sadly I cant do that at the moment, but I assure you that this matter has come to my attention and I will be dealing with it.

Don't you think this a bit childish? I'm not sure we do use clip art on the forum, but if we do please forward on link.
Also, whats wrong with advertisements? I believe most popular websites use advertisements to bring in a revenu stream? iVirtua has suppased the time were it required only a small hosting service we now need dedicated servers to run the site well, which although is a good sign that the site is gaining popularity means that we have to pay large sums of money to keep the site going.

The reason 'the_evil_genious_107' some of your posts have been deleted, which some of them I have personally deleted is because they either contained abusive language towards other members of the community of your showed a blatant disregard towards community rules.

One of those it not to use the forums for advertising, 'CoffeDaze.com' however this time I will let you off.

All The Best,

William

ARE you blind??!!

Hmmm...let me think... There's the clip art at the top of every page, the clip art below the most recent topics, the clip art when you logout, the clip art just above the Private Messages text on the left.

Maybe you browse with images turned off?

Oh, and yes, I know about your account on Mac GUI, speaking of childishness. You are the blighter who was posting 900 px wide images, trying to stretch the pages, and when I banned you, you kept doing it as a guest account. WHILE I WAS ONLINE WATCHING YOU, YOU MORON.

David Finnigan, whilst your loyal contributions are much appreciated, we do not feel they complement the community.

All or most of your posts contain direct criticism towards iVirtua. It is not your job to "back seat" manage iVirtua or it's assiciated communities, and make criticisms of internal affairs which quite frankly do not and need not interest you.

For this reason we regard moost of your postings, in the context of your other activity and member notes, as spam or otherwise in breach of the Community Rules.

You regularly post here with reference to your site indirectly advertising it - whilst blatently in breach of the Community Rules, you pose it as a "competitior" to iVirtua. This is your assumption - you post here at iVirtua - if you wich no longer to contribute or recieve any comments - simply don't visit the site. You may wich to seek phsyciatric help if you continue to visit against your will, unless you blatently contradict your self.

Regards,

Sam England
