Those of particular interest to me have been emboldened. Even those of you less keen on nintendo than I am, surely you must agree this is a pretty awesome collection?
Got mine reserved
Just waiting for THE day so I can go pick it up. I'll probably get Need for Speed Carbon for my first game. The console will come with Wii Sports or something like that but I'm not sure if it'll be any good. Guess I'll wait and see
In the meantime I should try and figure out what to do with my GameCube. Was thinking of integrating it into my car somehow connected to my touchscreen monitor (Carputer). Ideas?
Red Steel, and COD3 for me maybe also NFS Carbon They are the best release titles by far, and very different from what Nintendo have bought us with release titles before
I have also reserved a Black Wii
I got me my Wii a week after it came out via a friend that knew a friend at Best Buy
This thing is awesome and tons of fun. My wife loves playing Sonic on the virtual console. Haven't considered purchasing any of the other games on there besides F-Zero though. I'm waiting for the browser to become available which will go out on beta this Friday
Along with the Wii Sports game it comes with I have "Need For Speed: Carbon" and "Zelda" which is an awesome game and I highly recommend to anyone. The NFS game is pretty good too just have to get used to the fact that you steer by holding the remote as a steering wheel. Bummer that it didn't come with the steering wheel like the monster truck or the GT Series games... I'll check out eBay for one of those steering wheels later on.
I also had a reserved one which I picked up yesterday which I then sold to someone else for $400
Red Steel shows shows some potential... but it isnt worth the money really, and isnt up to scratch as far as what I expected, rather like some of the DS games that didnt and still dont use the DS to full potential.
People were 'betting' on it, and its finally here, Nintendo have been sued... reason 'faulty' WII straps.
« Green Welling LLP filed a nationwide class action lawsuit on behalf of the owners of the Nintendo Wii against Nintendo of America, Inc., in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Washington. The class action lawsuit arose as result of the defective nature of the Nintendo Wii. In particular, the Nintendo Wii game console includes a remote and a wrist strap for the remote. Owners of the Nintendo Wii reported that when they used the Nintendo remote and wrist strap, as instructed by the material that accompanied the Wii console, the wrist strap broke and caused the remote to leave the user's hand. Nintendo's failure to include a remote that is free from defects is in breach of Nintendo's own product warranty.
The class action lawsuit seeks to enjoin Nintendo from continuing its unfair or deceptive business practices as it relates to the Nintendo Wii.The lawsuit also seeks an injunction that requires Nintendo to correct the defect in the Wii remote and to provide a refund to the purchaser or to replace the defective Wii remote with a Wii remote that functions as it is warranted and intended. »
Basically Green Welling LLP is suing so that Nintendo change their straps...
Class Action Law Suit: (in short)
In law, the class action is a procedural device used in litigation to determine the rights of and remedies, if any, for large numbers of people whose cases involve common questions of law and fact.
Typically, federal courts are thought to be more favorable for defendants, and state courts more favorable for plaintiffs. Most class action cases are filed initially in state court. The defendant will frequently try to remove the case to federal court. The Class Action Fairness Act of 2005 increases defendants' ability to remove cases to federal court. (Wikipedia)
People are idiots…what can I say? They will sue for anything these days!
Personally when it comes to the wii I am in two minds, I’m a fan of Nintendo so that’s a good thing….but I play all my games in bed so the whole “concept†of the wii is redundant really, and when it comes to the virtual console I have all those games listed and a LOT more so it’s a bit pointless to me really.
