So if your an early adopter of new operating systems you probably have Windows Vista on order (well you know what I mean )

Well I've been running Vista Beta 2 for a few weeks now, and to be honest I'm impressed.  The OS is much better than XP and is very inutive.

Anyway, I'll probably be getting a version of vista soon, so the time has come to make a list of what I need to re-install.

When I tested the beta I couldn't use iTunes, that's probably fixed now though.

I wont use it until there is support/drivers for my audio apps and hardware and I can get good performance.

I’m in two minds about installing Windows Vista (I’ve been given Vista today from a friend who owns a computer shop) but because of the hassle with incompatable programs im not sure if I’d go through the hassle.

If I do I would need these installed on It though:-

*iTunes
*Copypod
*Tag&Rename
*Cdex
*Exact Audio Copy
*Microsoft Office 2007
*Avast! Antivirus
*Nero 6
*DVDShrink 3.2
*Spybot
*Ad-Aware

I’m not sure how many of these would work on Vista which is putting me off installing Vista.

yeh I've been having a few problems with iTunes to, when I try to connect my ipod it wont put songs on to it, etc.

But we have to remember that it only came out today and we have to give software companies a chance to make their software compatible with vista.

RC2 worked fine with iTunes, and and Developer edition did too
The ultimate edition is working great for me though, and Skype 3 works great as does most other programs, and developers have had time now (since beta 2) to release updates and patches,Most of the free utilities and sysinternals/powertools are vista compatible..
