does anyone know  of any places that sell something like a ethernet cord but wireless so i can get the net in my room  without getting another dsl box

i tried a lot of stuff and i keep getting routers but i think those are for long distance internet and they are like 70 dollars but does anyone know ofany places that sell  something like that or what it would be called

im talking about something that will just reach into the other room(about 30-40 feet)  and it will work like an ethernet cord but theres no cord
