The Electronic Sports World Cup is gearing up for its 4th annual competition, where 800 gamers selected from 53 countries will convene at France's "Palais Omnisports of Paris Bercy" on 29th June to 2nd July to be crowned world champion -- and claim their due part of a total $400,000 (£228,000) in prize money -- in each of the cup's six categories: Counter-Strike, Quake IV, Warcraft III, Trackmania Nations, Gran Turismo 4, and Pro Evolution Soccer 5.
Interested competitors should seek out their local chapter for qualifier and preliminary locations and dates by visiting the global home page for the competition, where would-be spectators can also find ticket prices and purchase information for what looks to be an enormous event.
