You all forget... The hidden cost with these high definition units is the cost of a 1080i/p television. Which will set you back anywhere between 7000 and 12000 Australian Dollars. All the sudden AU$5,500 don't look so bad for a top end PC.
In other news. I WIN. 1986 Toyota MR2 owns you ALL.
I have heard to so much about Halo on xbox and xbox 360. I'm sure it is a really good game but i have never played it so i was wondering what makes it so special. From seeing screenshots the game looks good but arn't there alot of silimar games? I'm not sure though as i said above i have never played on it before.
Named "Game of the Year" by Electronic Gaming Monthly, IGN, EDGE and the Academy of Interactive Arts and Sciences, HALO, the best selling game on Xbox can salfely keep that title as one of if not the best games on the Xbox. It is really quite simply the arsenal of weapons, the action packed and adventurous, at the time unique campaign, and the online experience not foretting it was a pioneering Xbox live game. When Microsoft released its Xbox game console in late 2001, easily the best launch title for the system was Halo. Originally announced way back in 1999 and slated for release on the PC and Macintosh, this first-person shooter became an Xbox exclusive after Microsoft bought the developer, Bungie. Halo for the Xbox has gone on to sell more than 3 million copies worldwide--which isn't proof of the game's superior quality, but certainly is evidence of it. Yet, the game was never officially canceled for its originally intended platforms, and at long last, it's available for the PC. For the most part, this new version of Halo is a straight port of the 2-year-old Xbox game. You'd think a high-end PC could handle such a game easily, but this port, which was done by Gearbox Software, is surprisingly taxing even on very fast PCs with tons of RAM and the latest video cards. Halo for the PC also loses the original version's much-vaunted cooperative play mode. But in spite of all that, and in spite of the very high standards for first-person shooters on the PC, Halo is still an incredible action game. It's a true classic--a game that hasn't lost any of its impact and intensity over time. There was nothing before it on the Xbox - it was a pioneering title - It's as simple as that.
I really want one of these.. before Halo 3.. shame about my terrible wage haha.
Oh well, I'll just have to pretend Halo 2 is Halo 3.. by getting really drunk and playing it
