YOUNGER IT employees are abandoning the industry becausethey have high expectations that employers cannot meet.
Apparently, the kids of today are a pain in the butt to managers because theywant their employers to give them the moon on a spoon and continually makeunreasonable demands.
The survey of managers by staffing outfit Atlantic Associates shows thatmanagers think teen and 20 somethings are the hardest to manage.
Jack Harrington, co-founder and principal of the staffing firm, said thatkids of today had it too easy.
It is not difficult for employers to find staff but it is murder keeping thembecause the work environment is not living up to employees' expectations.
Kids of today expect an office immediately or be paid at a rate higher thanentry level.
He said that they have been raised to be rewarded often and when you get intothe workforce those rules change a bit.
They also expect their bosses to be more socially responsible and take partin community or philanthropic ventures.
