Is it possible to even argue the Zune? Ok, Zune you have slow transfer, for a song that you can keep for 3 days, even then your expected to stand in the street and wait for it to download. Yes. The new iPod (iPhone) is actually a phone... and internet communicator.. and a lot more! (Just search this forum for iPhone or Zune to see the views!)

Microsoft Nerd? Not even qualifying for that!

the zune won't compete well with the ipod simply because the features it introduces are very minimal. for example, the song 'squirt' feature. it lies in disuse simply because nobody has a zune!
the ipod still reigns king as not only the most popular mp3 player, but also as a fashion/status symbol.
I don't know about the Zune, but I know I don't want an iPod. Apple really screw iPod owners over, in my opinion. They can't transfer stuff from their iPod to somewhere else (by default), nor can they play WMA files.
What's most annoying is that the iTunes online store only gives files in .m4a format, which nothing but iTunes and iPods can read.
Yeah, I was all for the Zune, so much so that I decided to read up about it. Needless to say, after getting the actual facts and not just Microsofts side of it I'd changed my mind within minutes.
Agreed. Some of Microsoft's ideas were actually quite unique, and would have given them a possible advantage over the iPod. However, a rush job accompanied by awful realisation of those features has condemned the Zune to failure.
Well, to be honest, I wouldn't buy either, they are both crap.
The ipod, the battary isn't changeable, and dies after a year and a half - when t
e warrenty is out. It costs just as much to get apple to sort it out, as it does to get a new one. It also has a crap battary life anyway...
The Zune, everyone is saying is crap, and is made by Microsoft, which just about sums it up!
I have a Sony MP3 player - 2GB, very small, 30 hours battary life, 3 minutes charge = 3 hours playback, loads of other great features, and very stylish. Better than any ipod or zune.

I think that I have, basically, the Samsung equivalent of that.

I like the iPod better, but not because of the looks or interface. If I could have that shiny Zune interface on an iPod, I'd be a happy camper. The main things that I can't stand about the Zune are the policies. The Zune had so much potential, but instead of trying to bring the hardware to its full potential, Microsoft locked down features.
