If you don't want ANY overclocking at all, then get the normal version instead of the Overclocked Edition.
I'm fairly certain that although its overclocked, the card will be stable and shouldn't give you any problems. Since its factory overclocked, you can be sure that its probably within set specifications for stability purposes.
Good, because I can live with the settings. I just wanted to make sure that even though it's overclocked, I want it to last just as long as a normal X1600PRO (which I'm getting to think it won't).
I guess I'd put it like this: Will it overclock as good/better from the speed it comes as? No. Will it overclock as good/better then what the normal speed card runs as? Yes. So, if you're new to overclocking, this is the best card. But if you've done it alot before, I would go with the regular one.
But, what if I never intended to overclock this thing?
That means that it comes already overclocked, which means that you'll probably get less of an overclock if you try to overclock it, because it's already going faster then stock. But, it will do better then a regular card, because it already has some overclock.
So, they simply charge a little more for taking the time to overclock it? One thing I would like to know: is it better suited to overclocking, or not?
My folks ordered this baby. If you look at it, it says Overcloked Edition. Just what makes it different from the original card? DOes it automatically overclock itself? Is it better suited to overcloking? I never plan on overclocking it, so I wonder if this Overclocked Edition is going to hamper me in any way.
With 100$, there is no way you can play ES 4 properly.
You should look into at least a 6800GS.
Never said I wanted it at max. With my x600, I came pretty close. I'm taking a step up here. Plus, I'm not spending that much money for a video card. EVER.
