I've kind of found a way round it. First I record it on my MP3 player, then play it and put the headphones right next to the microphone on my computer. The only thing is Windows sound recorder only records for a maximum of one minute. Does anyone know any good recording software which can record for longer than this?
I tried that and it won't work, when I try to open it it doesn't open- it doesn't even ask me whether I want to convert it-it only does with windows media player files.
And, I don't have a clue what tye of file it is, I've tried everything to try and find out but I can't figure it out.
I wasn't sure where to post this but it's to do with windows media player etc so I put it here.
I have a band and recently recorded something on an MP3 player. I've loaded it onto the computer and attempted to send it to several people via MSN and e-mail. When they open it (tried a quite a few different music players) it comes up with an error message saying 'This program cannot play this type of file' (or something like that). I was wondering if anyone knows how I can convert it into an MP3 file or whether there is any other solution?
