I saw it a while back. Its very CGI, though the balance is just right (the arrow scenes are pretty awesome - especially when they all hide under their shields; as is the wall of bodies haha), and my first impressions were not good; though when we get to the battle scenes, I actually came to really like it. Shame we dont see the big 100,000 battle at the end.
It's all Spartians against these scarily deformed Persians ( I wasnt expecting any Spartains to die though!); with some parts of almost comical violence. It's worth the most definatly worth the £4 at the cinema, and its not really bad, it actually really really gives you a buzz; as Dan says with the excellent feel of the movie.
Yes, it isn't that much of a history lesson, but its certainly a buzz!
I agree with you. Unless Transformers can top it, 300 is by far the best movie of 2007 and probably 2006 as well. Transformers is supposedly a very good movie.
