I'm lucky to know the IT guys at the CIA (Cumbria Institute of the Arts) So I managed to get my hands on the new Beta Adobe Flex and Adobe Flash Player 9! Too bad it uncovered my gambling addiction.
Flex is a Macromedia/Adobe AJAX framework
Adobe Flex 2.0 delivers an integrated set of tools and technology enabling developers to build and deploy scalable rich Internet applications. Flex provides a modern, standards-based language supporting common design patterns and includes a client runtime, programming model, development environment, and advanced data services.
Adobe Flexâ€â€ÂÂÂThe complete solution for building cross-platform rich Internet applications within the enterprise and across the web.
Adobe Flex looks cool, I cant wait for that to go mainstream, its great that Adobe took over Macromedia because now we will be able to get Adobe Premium CS3 with macromedia and adobe software! YAH!

I'm not sure if it's your kind of thing, the new Dreamweaver and GoLive (Whatever they think of ) Will be the WYSIWYG Web Designer, Flex is more like Director, for Web Applications. I used Flex to mod parts of this forum, to improve ther AJAX.
I think they might do a CS3 Web, Desktop Publishing/Grahics/Image, and Video edition of CS3.
I Filled out a comprehensive survey today on the future of page layout softrware. They (absolutdata.net) wanted to know mostly if I was a user of InD CS2 or QXP or would pick InDesign CS3 over QXP7 or vice versa in the future.
Without wanting to bore you too much, they had various pricing options and wanted to know which pricing structure was most attractive...
What really caught my eye however, was this as an option:
Creative Suite Premium
Incl:
Adobe Photoshop
Adobe Illustrator
Adobe InDesign
Adobe GoLive
Adobe Version Cue
Adobe Bridge
Adobe Acrobat Pro
Creative Suite Platinum
Incl:
Adobe Photoshop
Adobe Illustrator
Adobe InDesign
Adobe Version Cue
Adobe Adobe Bridge
Adobe Acrobat Pro
Adobe Dreamweaver (in place of GoLive)
Adobe Flash
How many would buy Platinum over Premium which becomes the new Standard??
Looks like this survey was paid for by Adobe perhaps...???
