English is one of the 3 languages taught in India. (Hindi is required, and a third language is optional)

I was quite proficient in English when I came here, but I still had the \"Indian accent.\" After a week or so, I could speak the American accent as well.

By the way, these kinds of conversations need to go in PM's. This thread is going completely off-topic. ;)

Hehe, Josh. :P

You will love this.

After I got a 103 on the last math test, my average in AP Calculus is now a 100.875. :D Now, if I could just make my physics grade that high. ;) (I have a 90 in Pre-AP Physics)

Anyways, back to lack of sleep.

Today, I believe, will be another one of these days.

Right.  As you you add another post to it... ;)  Well, I guess I should have expected you'd say that.  *Everything* has to go in PMs ;)  j/k

Grrr.  If you don't call yourself a genius, I'll feel like an idiot ;)
Anyways, that's a problem I have with Public Schools.  Since when is 100% not perfect?  I mean, really, it's a just because everyone wants their students to be 'better than average' which is mathematically stupid.  Average is average.  The average of your school can't be above it's average.  So, what really is 103?  Like 97% or something?

Well, sorry to sound like a hypocrite, but eh, I decided this was The Lounge after all, and the only place for discussions like this. ;)

103 is a 97 plus a 6 point curve because the test was hard.

Ok, I guess that isn't too bad.
But, it's stuff like at our local high school, the valedictorian and salutatorians all had GPAs of like above 4.1  Since when did 4.0 mean less than perfect?  I mean, it's not so much of an honor anymore for a student to get a 4.0

Yes, 4.0 is no longer a perfect score anywhere, at least not in my school. Our highest GPA was the valedictorian 2 years ago, who scored a 4.35 on a 4.0 scale.

And when you get to 11th or 12th grade in my school, a 4.0 will be near a 30-40 rank.

30-40?  That's crazy.  It's like:  Hey mom, I got a perfect GPA, a 4.0, but I'm only #35 in my class. ^_^
