The podcast directory has also bee redesigned giving people the option to pick by radio station, genre or the typical A-Z you find on most directories. They also have an editors pick section.
The real integration of podcasts (they have been offering podcasts for sometime) can only be an benefit to podcasters who will hopefully gain new a new type of audience who've been introduced to podcasting through the BBC.
What's really interesting to see is that they're offering Google Reader and My Yahoo! as subscription points, I'd really like to know why, obviously iTunes has been added because it is best podcast directory in the world but Google Reader and My Yahoo! are rss readers not podcasting clients.
