because they make it so fool proof thats why they dont make any GOOD games for mac. i think people who say windows is stupid are stupid. I usually say: ok then go make something better come back if you can put a Hellow World on the screen without using windows using assembly or binary in atleast a 16 bit compilier if you even know what that means.
I agree. I don't think Windows is stupid, in fact it's a fairly good OS. But, I have a problem with people that pretend like it's (near) perfect. And I have more problem with people that say that all windows problems are caused by the user.
Yeah it aint perfect but they did an amazing job creating an environment for the software industry and computer user to be together. That is where the disadvantages such as viruses and malware an spyware get to the user also.
And I have more problem with people that say that all windows problems are caused by the user.
I don't understand why you would -- 99% of the time, that's the problem. About the only \"Windows problem\" I frequently experience is when Windows uses my wireless connection for something that would be better served over the completely unused, faster, LAN connection (like hosting a UT2004 server).
I wouldn't say that nearly that high of % of problems are caused by the user. Most are caused by bad programs, bad hardware, and/or Windows bad handling of those programs/hardware.
It is Windows fault if it lets a person crash the system.
I prefer XP over Mac because of: Upgradability WAAAAY more games More software I am used to it and know how to use it
I like XP over linux because: XP doesn't make you remember commands Drivers for XP are easy to find and install I don't know Linux very well Many Linux people are snobby
well depends on which linux distro. most distro's use konquerer or GNOME which is all GUI. FOr me i have Opensuse on an old P3 E600 and it runs great and alot safer than windows and does everything windows does besides play games.

Actually, KDE and Gnome or the interface types. Konqueror is the Linux version of Windows Explorer and/or Internet Explorer. :)

Linux, while it is a more secure platform than Windows (due to the fact that by default, you don't run as Root), a good deal of it's \"security\" comes from Windows being a much more exploited and targeted platform (Windows-run PC's dominate 96% of all PC's online).
