The Academy of Interactive Arts and Sciences has announced thenominees for its 11th annual Interactive Achievement Awards, withBioShock receiving a record 12 nominations including Overall Game ofthe Year.
The peer-based awards recognise the outstanding products, talentedindividuals and development teams that have contributed to theadvancement of the entertainment software industry.
"This year's finalists reflect the commitment game makers have tocreate compelling, engaging and exciting experiences for the expandinggame playing audience," said AIAS president Joseph Olin.
"The 2008 nominees represent the tremendous talent and passion thatour members bring to their craft. The Interactive Achievement Awardsare dedicated to acknowledging the men and women who create theseinnovative and excellent games."
