With the original release for the xbox and pc the newest addition to the series Farcry: Evolution adds a whole new aspect to the game along with stunning graphics and excellent gameplay.
The story starts as you "Jack Carver" a hired mercenary help a gun smuggeler get to some island(s) where she must make a deal, but things go bad and the rebels who she is trading with believe you to be the killer.
When i first picked up the game i was nervous to be honest, it had been a long while since ive played a good first person shooter since halo 2. But Farcry was surprisingly good to play. The game is very easy to get into with its simple FPS combat system. Unlike other FPS games Farcry Instincts add a whole new level on how to play.
The abilities your character are given are awesome for any game, his abilities include super speed and super strength but the one i was most interested in was the ability to smell your enemy. With the click of a button can follow the scent trail and blast him away or knock him through the air with your super strength. These abilities are used alot through the game. Helping on your journey along side your super human powers and a good host of weapons and vehicles.
A large plus side of it is the good features of the game as a whole eg: a very easy to use map editor were you may make your own maps and upload them to xbox live or the very enjoyable multiplayer were players like you roam there own custom made islands and you hunt each other down using the super abilities you are given.
As you progress through the game you will achieve new traits to harass your enemy with. You must also use your "primal instincts" (super powers) to fight against genetically modified super humans like yourself. Which adds alot more fun to the single player mode.
One major downside and a bit of false advertising is the fact that for the normal Xbox the game does not include the added Evolution campaign that the Xbox 360 version has. Granted it is abit of an annoyance but once you get around that factor you will fall in love with the game.
The last downside would be the games lack of play time. Granted i still have not completed the game 100% but i am at the end and it only took me around 6 or 7 hours to get to the point were i am.
However i would reccomend Farcry Instincts: Evolution for any Xbox 360 player (not Xbox) as it is a very fun game to play and one of the best FPS games i have played in a very long time. With its good but short single player, excellent multiplayer and the very useful map editor this game is a must buy

Original Farcry for the computer can be found for a low price I saw it sitting in the cheap games at walmart a few times.
