We all remember the 70's hit Miami Vice. We can even all relate to it, you know sex, drugs, woman and nightclubs......well some of us can.
I was excited in the fact that i was going to see the movie. I had my popcorn and my coke and sat impatiently through the half hour of adverts that taint any movie theatre, just to see a movie i thought would be worth while to see.
You see the advert on tv and you go "Wow! It looks good". Im so sorry to burst your pre-conceptions of brilliance based on that one advert. But the movie is aweful, the best bits are in the adverts and even those "best bits" aren't even that good.
You will think he star studded appearance from Colin Farrell and Jamie Foxx will make a difference to the movie. Now i have no trouble with there acting capabilities and in the movie they have acted aswell as they do in Miami Vice than any other movie they've been in.
But the movie is plagued by fillers. Portions of film that are just made to waste hours of your time just to pass the time or "try" and make it more interesting. I do think that the film is for mainly the male audience. The fillers i spoke of that do lean towards the male side of the audience are the abundance of sex schenes that Micheal Mann has shoved into the movie. Boring! Very boring! Despite the fact that i'd never bring myself to hate a sex schene with some very beautiful woman.
More filler schenes one after another the only thing worth watching in the movie is the very fun and heart pumping gun fights that do make the movie watchable. But barely. The movie has nothing on the original series and Micheal Mann shouldn't of thought about doing it.
Don't see Miami Vice its a waste of your life. 2 hours of boredom is not worth it take it from me, its one of the worst films ive ever seen.
