We've all seen the previous rocky movies. There like marmite, either you love them or you hate them and im pretty sure most people love the Rocky movies.
Again Sylvester Stallone has come back into the ring and out of retirement and again back as Rocky Balboa.
The movie has a great cast including (sylvester stallone as Rocky, Milo A. Ventimiglia as Rocky Jr and Geraldine Hughes as Marie).
The movie focus's around Rockys life after his wife (Talia Shire) passed away. Mason 'The Line' Dixon ( Antonio Tarver ) is now the current world champion. Rocky goes through a rocky start running his own restaurant but always living in the pass he meets Lil Marie. His love interest of sorts in the movie. But she helps him on his way to do what he wants.
Rocky then realise's to make something of himself and to move on he has to regain his personal pride back. So the fight is arranged between him and Dixon.
Stallone is is excellent shape for this movie. I personally cant imagine how much he had to train to get into that sort of shape. But being a man of around 60 years of age its a fantastic achievement.
Unlike any other of the previous Rocky movies. This one has makes you scream out loud for rocky. Cheering him on is almost mandatory. The fight understandably makes you support him. From the movie itself Rocky is the understandable underdog, due to his age.
But in the fight his punches send you into awe. Hes pack an incredible punch. I have watched the making of the movie and the final fight between himself and dixon was filmed live infront of an audience of thousands and even, with live commentators, yes thats right it had NO script.
Which makes the fight incredibly believeable anf even funner to watch as you see Dixon and Rocky beat the living crap out of each other.
To end, i would'nt think someone who doesnt like Rocky series to not see this, because its great. One of the best movies. The drama is weak (but its sylvester Stallone) so it is expected. The movie is'nt packed with action either so dont get your hopes up. However the last schene makes the movie and i think its a MUST SEE! For any Rocky fan or any action / drama fan.
3/5 - its alright but just see it anyway .
