Well, what can I say about this film?, Firstly I entered the cinema expecting something totally different to the viewing experience that I had. Not to say that it was a negative experience, Just different than expected. The plot goes like this. Will Smith (I forget his characters name) is the only survivor of some sort of virus that turns its victims into crazed maniacs that can't go out in sun light. These zombie, vampire things (from now on referred to as vombies or zompires) are extremely hostile and will attack on sight. Oh and Will Smith has a dog.
This about sums up what i knew as i walked into the cinema .Anyone going into this film expecting a vombie survival horror will be disappointed as this is a film that contains the zampire horror thing as a small part of a large rich tapestry of themes. The most prominent being the psychological effects of being the only survivor of a plague that is partly your fault. How it is Mr. Smiths fault is revealed via a series of flash backs throughout the film which is a tried and tested method of releasing information on a characters past. It also has black humor buried deep down there amongst the creepiness and tense atmosphere.
Saying that I severely dislike the ending as I think they could have done a hell of a lot more with it and there are many plot holes that make absolutely no sense but these things are to expected in most modern films so we grin and bare it.
There isn't actually a lot more I can say about this film with out giving away the plot as most of the events are tied in very deeply with the unfolding story. What I can tell you is this is a good film and is defiantly worth a look in. Highlights for me are When Will Smith has to find his dog in a nest of vombies and anything to do with frank (which includes the record store)

I have this film on my iPod and i have to say that for the size of the iPod screen (Refering to iPod Touch) it is great picture quality. I have not had chance to watch the whole of the film yet but what i have seen has impressed me greatly.
