i downloaded it a few days ago. and can i just say... holy crap, this looks like its gunna be good. I was a massive fan of all the C&C games up until generals. but now their returning to the original theme but nicer graphics and more features (plus another army). i cant freakin wait. what does everyone else think?
Im interested in the fact its going back to the original story after all these years. although im more worried about it being to short like generals was.
nah dude, he never dies, kane never died. just "supposed dead" but whats miraculous is that he's not still horribly scarred. plus i think he's pretty ancient so perhaps nod are right, he may be the messiah =p
C&C 3 development team has alot to live up to. If they screw this up, I dont think these guys will be able to recover. I am really glad they are continuing this long standing franchise. Kane was always the fave in my book.
Have played the demo of this and wasn't really impressed. No doubt it continues the 'classic' C&C formula, but that formula is old as the hills now.
Dawn of War and Company of Heroes are so much better and more enjoyable to play. This just feels like Generals set in the main C&C universe, which is a shame as I really wanted C&C3 to be awesome.
I played the demo yesterday and thought it was good.
as haenf mentions, it's like a merge between generals and the original cnc gameplay. It uses the generals engine, but with the older storyline and style of play.
Graphics were good and gameplay was very intense - more intense than the original series, in my opinion.
I thought generals was an OK game - it didnt have the same feel to it as the original CnCs, so i wouldnt consider generals to be a CnC game.
i'd buy CnC3, but i wouldnt say that it was excellent. It's just 'good' - nothing special.
However, i havent played as either Nod or the Scrin - only as GDI. Nor have i tried the demo campaign (i just tried the skirmish). Apparently the campaign is quite long - over 30 missions.
