Just thought I'd share information about the text editor I and my freinds use for general editing and occasional programming; http://www.context.cx/
It can be used for pretty much all languages, and has highlighting extensions for lots of languages.. of which new ones can be downloaded from the site.
hm.. well I just tried out pspad, and I'm starting to like it more than any other text editor, it's got a nice clean interface and has pretty much everything I need; but it loads a little slower at the start (although this can be solved by keeping it in the tray)
