I recently installed the Defiler codec pack for WMV.
Now when I play a DVD on my system, there is no sound and I have this ffdshow audio decoder in my tray. I've tried the different settings, but can't get my audio working again.
Don't have much experience with Defiler pack, any help?
Edit: Nix this thread, went ahead and uninstalled Defiler pack and my audio is back. Not sure why there was no audio with the ffdshow codec.

No big deal for me. I don't actually need Defiler, I just thought it would be a nice codec addition. Uninstalled and everything works fine again in regards to WMV.
I know, WMV sucks, but it's got an easy interface for DVDs.
If it ain't broke, don't fix it. The two codec providers were probably conflicting - fighting over which program should serve the codec. Ffdshow provides for almost all of your codec needs, so just stick with that.
