We've all done it now and then but do you thinks its right to illegaly download copyrighted material? Il stick my hand up, ive ripped a few tracks off win MX in the past but ive always got rid if i didnt buy the albums in the end.

What are your thoughts?

Wouldn't this be the same as recording Music Video's from TV?
I don't think it's wrong with sharring your music, but selling illegal CD's is a NO.

well downloading it is legal in canada.. and 'per capita' we have more downloads than anyother country... also have more high speed cable connections (per capita) maybe that has something to do with it??!?!

metallica (one of my favs) was the most vocal against downloading.. however.. they make 19% of cash from record sales, and the rest from concerts tours and t-shirts and posters and sh*t.. lets face it.. without downloading, older bands like metallica would not pull in those huge numbers from concerts...

downloading may not be right.. but its good for the bands who tour.. and its not wrong... selling it is wrong!
