When Portal was first announced, an ambitious bunch of fans decided to sit down and create a 2D flash version of the game. Surprisingly, their version of Portalwas fun, and became rather popular online. With 40 levels of play, itwas also a pretty robust release. Luckily, the project didn't stopthere: one of the members of the team has now re-created and released the 2D levels inside of the real Portal.
Give the free map pack a download and try the newly-3D levels. Theyestimate there is around 3+ hours of new content in these maps, andI've been having a great time testing them out for a little while thismorning. It's neat to play the 2D version of these maps and then seehow they've been translated into 3D.
If you've been looking for an excuse to play some Portal, here you go. Please avoid the cake and "Still Alive" jokes, as they're beginning to wear a little thing.
