FriendFeed is a new service that applies the concept of the Facebook News Feed to see what your friends are sharing on various web sites. For example, you can see what songs your friends are listening to on last.fm, what movies they have added to their Netflix, or new photos they have published to Picasa. Currently, FriendFeed supports 23 different services, also including Digg, YouTube, and Flickr.
In addition to being able to track your friend's updates via the FriendFeed site, the company also offers a Facebook application and a gadget for iGoogle. Additionally, if you decide to make your feed public, you can embed it on your profiles, blogs, and other web pages.
The team behind FriendFeed previously worked on some of Google's more popular products, including Google Maps and Gmail. The service is currently in invite-only beta.
