Does anyone know of any resources/books I can consult that covers cultural issues to consider when designing collateral for Asian markets? E.g. imagery to avoid, colours, etc. Or, do you have personal experiences that you would like to share?
Any help will be appreciated
Here's what I've found already about colour symbolism:

Maybe, Think Red. Asians LOVE red in ads. Avoid the Ying/Yang symbol, make pigs fat and succulent, and use toony drawings when you can. Starbursts (explosions, in the Chinese language) are fair game, as much as we may hate them.
As far as resources, I don't have any, but you may want to surf the .cn websites for ideas...
