Here's a bit about Sam:

He's been a great friend of mine for a few years now we met back in 2005 at school.

We're we helped out on a forum called jeditalk.proboards45.com - we left a sort while after and started up iVirtua on an invision free forum.

Our forum was shut down but somehow Sam managed to retrieve every member and every post through Google cache - don't ask me how he did it, but it just goes to show Sam's determination.

We then threatened to sue Invision Free Forums - seriously - no joke. But alas we found out that it was run by some 14 year old spotty teenagers in America - so we left it - partly because they never reponed to us.

We then - as memory serves me correctly - moved to our own hosted website - which was a big step up for the both of us. We bought a year with Bluehost.com the best shared hosting company out their and used them - Sam quickly got to work setting up iVirtua and we discovered the open source forum software phpbb2.

At that time we we're complete novices and hired people to do easy 'mods' for us. Needless to say that Sam got sick of spending money every time we wanted
to change the site so he went and learned PHP.

Around that time Sam also discovered the podcast boagworld.com were we both learned web design skills and how 'accessibility' was a key issue in web design
I can code a little I know my <b> and <br> tags but Sam took to it like a duck on water and flew ahead (he's always been like that).

Around that time we also learned that we both liked photograph and one memorable trip saw us nearly mugged by 'CHAVS' in the worst area of my town. However we escaped to tell the tale.

Myself and Sam have found ourselves in London, Edinburgh (x2) and Newcastle walking through some of the roughest areas but we've somehow survived.

So I hope you can all wish Sam a Happy 17th Birthday.

And good luck for the future mate.

-William
