Ok let me explain, There is this game I found and I would like to play it agaisnt other people I know online. You are able to play the against a friend IRL if he is like sitting next to you. This is the game(click) I think it would be best if you just played it to get the jist of what I am saying. Also to note that game isnt just on that site, its on a few others as well.
If netcode has not been programmed, then no. you can't play it over the internet, or any other protocool for that matter.
Programming games is not an easy thing, you can't just add multiplayer support.. multiplayer programming is one of the most complicated types of programming there is, and it's not just a simple matter of converting or adding.. it's more of a case of editing thousands (maybe even tens of thousands) of lines of source and going through months of testing.
That said, I can tell straight away you cannot and will not ever play that game on any type of protocool with another human being.. it's made in flash. and flash has no net programming.
The way this type of game works, is that the whole entire programs (in this case, flash) are downloaded to your computer. The game is not 'online' at all, it is just played through you're browser. it's still client side, not server side. Once the game is downloaded, the game does not communicated with any other servers at all. It is entirely client side. (That is why it has a loading screen.. this is infact downloading it to a cache!)
So no, you can't play it against someone else on another computer. wether it be over 'the internet' or on any other network protocool.
