mini itx isnt small enough and with nano being just the right size i decided to take a crack at building a reallllllllllly tiny computer. smaller in width and length then a cd drive, and just a bit thicker to accommodate the heat sinks
here ar my specs so far, it isnt the fastest but i cant really get higher speeds at that size.
VIA EPIA N10000 nano-ITX motherboard (1ghz soldered VIA CPU) Notebook hdd to 40 pin ide and slimline cd to 40 pin ide, this is necessary 60gb 2.5\" notebook hdd samsung CD/DVD burner, quantum, slimline morex 60w power kit kingston 512mb ddr333 sodimm Windows XP or mandriva Linux (still undecided)
The mobo is only 12cm x 12cm, im gonna enjoy this, and hate its precision The case will be acrylic custom made or molded whichever i think may be easier,
this project will run me just under 1000$ if i keep it the same

Why such a small size? I'm curious, because I travel back and forth between my two parent's houses twice a week. I've looked at the small systems, but they lack the power that I need for video editing and gaming. Why do you need the size, one again. Is it where you want to put it, or is it 'just because'
lack of space to put a full tower system mainly, plus i just wanna try it out, ill be using a 7\" widescreen and a small multimedia keyboard with built in mouse, wireless of course.
i know someone who put his computer in a suit case like screwed the MOBO right into it. Its pretty kewl. good luck with your project.
ps all those nano sized things like Ipod nano Nano ITX The Razar cell phone are all just things that would just fall right through the vents and you wouldent be able to get them out.
