This morning rumors are flying about a new viral marketing site that displays logos from both Microsoft and Razer, a manufacturer of gaming peripherals. Is Microsoft working on a new handheld gaming device?
With Razer being a peripherals manufacturer, I doubt Microsoft would be whispering with them over a full-fledged gaming device.
On the other hand, Microsoft might be lookingto catch up on the gaming-focused peripherals score with (for example) Logitech, whose G15 gaming keyboard, G5 and G7 gaming mice are pretty much ruling the roost right now.
This also dovetails with the rumblings about Microsoft's Vista-focused hardware designs, as well as the launch of Flight Simulator X.
If Microsoft and Razer can team up to produce some effective and stylish gaming peripherals focused on Vista, I say more power to 'em, and I'll be keeping an eye (and a wad of cash) at the ready.
I don't know if you saw it but Microsoft and Razer came together and are making a mouse called the Habu. I think i posted something about it in the hardware forum a bit ago.
I don't have the link off hand but its under the hardware forum here and I think theres some info about it at http://www.razerzone.com Razers website and also there is some talk about it on razerblueprints.com the razer community website.
