*sigh*.... You people should really pay attention to places like GAmeInformer . Very uninformed...
The PS3 will be 2 different prices. The lowest price will be $500, with a 20GB hard drive in it already. The other, which is $600, will have a 60GB hard drive installed. See? That's the reason it'll be $600. And, there's also a little thing called the Cell Processor inside, which was specially made for the PS3, and can go up and over 4.2 gHz. Can you say... "Suck it Xbox 360"? =P.
CarnageX,please calm yourself down ,I understand you feel quite passionate about the Ps3 but please also understand that other people may prefer the 360.So get over it and respect their wishes.
You cant properly compare these consoles really until the Ps3 is released.
To be honest, the PS3 will simply be an overpriced, mainstream, non-expandable, overratted, hyped-up bread-bin with a controller design from 1997, still im open minded, and dont believe in console wars.

I quite agree, but as the Ps3 has not been released its hard to say we could be wrong.
Did I just say that,I feel the power of the dark side,I must resist
hmm.... Whats so great about the PS3 anyway? I mean okay its got Blu Ray compatiabiliy but I reakon XBOX will probably upgrade their machines either to HD-DVD or Blu-Ray. And sony can get shoved if they want £400+ for their stupid games console.

Blu Ray, HD DVD... I think there really just gimmics.
HD is really no more than what computer screens have been for years, and telivision has been the CRT RGB, so nothing outrageously new there; its really just for marketing.
Its all still optical storage, its a degradable, non-archival, breakable, scratchable, mistakeable-for-a-frisbee, easily destroyed storage medium... I mean, 50GB of data you can snap in half?
I think the future is solid state or Flash storage; think how much you can store on a tiny SD or CF card, with no moving parts, almost impossible to destroy, resistant to shack and even water, RAID Drives can store GB's of data, and it cant be snapped.
The Yellow Machine FailSafe Storage appliance provides a cost effective, all-in-one solution for FailSafe storage, automated backup, secure remote access and networking features. Yellow Machine offers:
FailSafe storage  preserves data integrity with RAID, disk scrubbing technology and reliable hardware
Professional automated backup  just "set it and forget it"
Secure remote access  from anywhere, at anytime
All-in-One "shoebox-sized" appliance: router, switch, firewall, VPN, networked storage
Easy to use, easy to set up
£400? I don't think I need to comment on that.
LMAO You guys are such a hypocrites, you know that? You tell me not to bash your precious x360, 'because I don't know anything about it.' And what do you go and do to the PS3? LOL.....
Anyway, MS won't upgrade to Blu-Ray, because I think Sony has it copyrighted, they'll just go to HD-DVD, but they won't because they're sticking to regular DVD drive.

Um... you can snap a flash drive in half... Flash drives are easily destroyable too. You can't get a flash drive wet, but you can get a disc wet, and just dry it off. A flash drive could be ruined.
And PS3 is better than buying a 360 and selling your soul to Microsoft =P.

How is it non-expandable? You'll be able to put different hard drives in it, because I'm sure Sony and other third party companies will produce for it. Overrated.. You mean like the flaming deathbox of a 360? =P. And the controller design is a heck of a lot better than those clunky pieces of crap the Xbox was using. The contoller was massive, the A,B,X and Y buttons were slick and positioned at a crappy angle, the analogs were in a bad position, and the black and white buttons were in a terrible position as well.
Sony cant copyright Blu-Ray the reason for this is because Sony dont own Blu-Ray. You could snap a flash drive in half, if you hit it with a hammer, Also if you look inside a flash drive you will see that the main electronics and storage of the the data is procted by a water proof selant. oh and if you drop a disk in water it will easily be destroyed due to the fact that the laser reading pattern (which the Blue-Ray disk needs to work the disk) will be destoryed therefore you wont be able to read the data stored on it.
"And PS3 is better than buying a 360 and selling your soul to Microsoft =P." do sony pay you to say that? Seriously you bash on about the ps3 but it aint even been realesed whereas the xbox 360 has already sold 10 million units.
The XBOX controller is designer erognomically which means it is designed to fit most comfatably in your hand, which it does, the new ps3 controller looks just like a ps2 controller and they even had the cheek to nick the motion thingy from Nintendo.
Actually the ps3 wont be expanable you will only be able to use the built in hard drive which came with the ps3 when you bought it.

The Ps3 will do very well in Japan and China as Ive read a few articles that suggest there's something like 2% of the Asian market willing to buy a 360.But if you look at the specs and the Ps3 has a little more processing power ,but will we notice I dont think so.
