I have big hands too but this Razer Copperhead fits my hand very well. They are not a small mouse as people have said ive seen alot smaller then this. Anyway what does the Logitech Elite Mouse look like?
I think the Diamond back may be more comfortable; I actually dont really need or want a fast mouse; it can be anoying, and It doesnt make me perform any better.
1. the maximum resolution you will see most competitive players at is 800x600 so anything above 400dpi is just numbers for show, it means nothing.
2. weight systems are bogus, I can remove the weight from an mx510 and add another on my own, who cares.
3. laser systems are new and they are buggy and skip like crazy (I'm sure this will change).
I got this from a friend I know, who has run several tournaments, sat in ref positions for a very large gaming league, and has participated in lans for a long time now. Cut past the "I recommend x mouse, and x pad" crap most gamers will feed you for products they own... look at pictures of what they use when there is serious money on the line. The best aims in their various game, are all on ms3.0 logitech mx510 (or under), there is a very good reason for all of this.
I'm still waiting for a "gaming mouse" that isn't just full of gimics, and can hold up to the bar that the ms3.0 and mx510 set, but sadly there hasn't been one. I think part of the reason is that gimics sell mice. For every 4-10 elite players you have that buy for what something does, you have hundreds that buy based off gimic "omg high dpi and wieghts wow" which do not translate into performance.
Sadly I don't think that mouse will come around because people keep buying into marketing.
Ive only had my Razor Copperhead since June 26, 2006 when I bought it. And have to say I haven't seen any mouse I ever owned perform better then it does. Ive had normal opitical mice and also a wireless one but my Razor Copperhead beats em all. Its very light and comfortable in my hand too.
