A girl of eight who forgot her £3.50 lunch money was instead given a school dinner of bread and water. For dessert, Courtney Williams got a blackened banana.

Regardless of who is right and who is wrong in this battle between the adults, an inoccent CHILD is being punished. And that is wrong on all fronts. I am appalled that in this day and age a child is being bullied in this way by ADULTS and educated ones at that. Disgusting.
well in all honesty she's lucky she got anything. my school would just say tough and you live on starving ... but that said she's only a primary school kid. i'm sure they sould've afforded to give her something better then what they did

Yeah, exactly. I think it's just sad that they give him a... Blackened banana? For the love of god, it's not like the world is super poor now, I'm sure they could've afforded atleast a proper yellow banana and milk! *sigh* I don't like where the world is going. Everything's about money, money and more money.
