I saw a couple of 'adult' games on sale in Australia - like that Playboy mansion one. I'm not sure what it was rated though - I'm pretty sure that it was rated as 18+ or as "Adult", don't know why that was. Might have been an imported version or something.

Yea, that game is an "18" over here (UK). Doesn't deserve it though.

Im just glad the UK doesn't have any stupid game-related laws.

They just need to enforce the age ratings (its way too easy for, say, a 7-year-old to buy a game like GTA).

Spore (and Will Wright) in Microsoft / Windows
I hope Spore is actually going to be any good.

All I know Will Wright for is for creating the most boring game ever (in my opinion), Sims and Sims 2.

Still, i can't say they spore doesn't look intreguing.

Any modders? in Microsoft / Windows
I am (well was, im having a break from it at the moment) a modder for Star Trek: Bridge Commander.

It's still got a massive community, and modded versions of the game have better graphics than Star Trek: Legacy (coming out in september).

Legal Emulators! in Gaming
Well, GameCube and DS games have been pirated. The're just not common because there's hardly any price difference.

It may be possible, but would Nintendo be able to detect modded Wii's if they ever go online...

I'm guessing they would be able to.

btw, you forgot about the Sega relics.

Games, not schools are teaching kids. in Gaming
Andreyevich wrote:
I do agree, however, that schools do show people how to pass exams. When it gets to core subjects like Maths and English Language, however, it is up to the individual's skill (which they have practised and refined in school) to decide whether the exam is passed or not. Students cannot simply 'regurgitate' anything for Maths or English (they might in a science exam, however) - focus in these exams is on the student's ability to solve a new problem, with old skills.

I passed English and English Literature at GCSE with a B and a C, which was mainly due to "examination technique" and "luck". Also, Science is not a subject one can simple "regurgitate", as it (mainly physics) involves a lot of maths.

But I do agree, some gamers don't learn anything from games. It depends on the way you play them.

PS 3 ore Xbox 360 in Gaming
Well, it depends on:

1. What games you want
2. How much you are willing to pay
3. When you want it

Really, just look at the games for each system, and get the console that has the most games you want.

Hi from a guy from Wales in iVirtua Members Introductions
I'm one of the few trekkies that isn't that interested in the original series, but I love every other one.

But, at the moment, my favourite sci-fi has to be Doctor Who.

IE7 Beta 3 dates leak in Software
Gprime wrote:
Haha, be a beta tester Andurion and be one of the first to get infected by a virus!

Microsoft's software ain't that bad. A decent spyware remover and anti-virus is all you need.

I've got WMP 11, Live Messenger 8, IE7 Beta 2 and Office 2007 Beta 2. I've also have Live One care. No problems with any whatsoever.

I thought it was SharePoint Designer that replaced FrontPage?

IE7 Beta 2 in Software
Got this, and it was a massive improvement over the previous version.

Then, it's nothing special, just todays standard. Went straight back to FireFox (which remains my "best browser ever")
