I've been reading up on SLi a lot, and I'm not really leaning towards such a step up. SLi capable cards are high end cards at the moment, and I think if I bought one such card I would not need the second. I'm still leaving my options open though, and this is your chance to persuade me :)
I don't think that i have ever said that SLI is the best bang for the buck, but it is still currently the top of the line winner. But only with 2 $500 cards.
If you are spending less than $900 or so dollars on a video card, save your self the hastle and buy a single card.
I have SLI myself, and hate the fact that some games simply don't work well with it.
