Like a fool I downloaded and installed IE7.  All my passwords were lost and even when I tried to reestablish them it wouldn't work.  After I was successful on some site I had to continually login.  My god, even when I went to mymsn.com I had to continually relogin even though I had checked remember my email and password.  Uninstalled IE7 and now back to IE6 and everything works fine.  Stay away from IE7

lol, IE7 is just fine. You might have not installed it correctly.
All i can say is that i don't really love it as it secure's every site a bit too much. But i can't be against it because you are never safe enough on the internet.  That's why i don't have a virusscanner Just reinstall my windows every time i got to many virusses on my computer
So i would like to say: secure your PC !!!!

'm seconding the above advice
Get Firefox! haha

@Pyro; if you wanna be as secure as possible... then why don't you have the virusscanner just to check it regularly to make sure you still are secure?

actually that's my advise to be as secure as possible but i'm not following my own advise. But i can't recomment people to look at me. I know how to handle a pc and to deal with all kind of problems. But that's not something a lot of people have the knowledge of. I just reinstall my windows x times/year. I am carefull with virusses when i download. Still at the moment my windows installation is totally fucked up, if you would see how strange my computer is at the moment a lot of people would freak out I'm just relaxed cause i know how to deal with it

My advise is to get windows vista also as soon as possible but you won't see me using that peace of shit. Actually windows xp is also a piece of shit but there's just no way to escape from windows. Linux even suck more.
When you see the prices of windows vista omg, you can buy an ipod 80 GB with the retailversion of the windows xp pro variant. Even your hardware is limited to it. You can't even use directx 10 on windows xp.
there goes your geforce 8800 ???
Where are the times that people were free.
Were is the concurrention?

IE 7 work fine for me, it even has some of the functions of FireFox, like the porn pass, I don't have to enter the username and password, it automatically does it for me.

@pyro: I wouldn't recommend vista for a lot of reasons but the biggest one is just because it sux in all ways And i don't like your statement: Linux even suck more. Cause linux is much better then every windows together (my opinion ), you just have to learn working with it and when u can u will also say windows sux ( i admit that linux isn't good for gaming but most gaming servers are runing a linux/unix on it )
I know it sucks when some stuff don't work on XP but that's just a trick to buy Vista
And btw: why pay for Vista when u can have it for free?

@untouchable: Thats because IE just stole a lot from firefox.. Like the tabs, they finally found out its like the most handy thing u can have. They just steal a lot of stuff and i hate them

linux is very good for servers but not for normal use. I would have to miss all my favorite programs and can't play all my favorite games on it.

Linux is very good for "normal" use. As i already said u can't play games on it ( except some ) but mayby in future u can. I currently have a dual boot with windows  & linux. So when i wanna play a game i just switch to windows
