Uh oh...

I may not be a member here on CyberIT's forums for much longer.

I just got recalled for Mobilization for Iraqi Freedom.

I've been out over two years, but I still have some time left on Inactive Reserve, and I guess my number came up. Slated to be at Fort Jackson, SC by February 12th.

Just thought I'd let everyone know. I'll probably need to take down my machines from F@H as well as Uptime-Project.

Uh yikes. I wish you luck when you go to Iraq. :(

Josh, as far as I can tell, a minimum of 545 days. So about 18 months minimum.  Maybe longer if need be.

Bleh, really don't feel like leaving my two year old daughter for almost two years.  She'll be four years old when I get back!

Oh well.  I guess the sooner I go, the sooner I can come back.

Thanks Predator and A_Pickle. At least I have some support from the people back home. :D

I'm tactically sound being a Police Officer and all, but it's not really bullets that are worrying me. Explosive Devices are all the rage over there now, so bleh.

So I guess after February, I'll be back on the forums in about 18 months or more (and ready to continue Folding! But I'll be WAAAY behind by then.)

Is there any way you could have your wife post updates for us every couple of months?

Greg, that's a decent idea, but I doubt it. She'll be extremely busy since she works full time and she'll have to take care of our 'lil one by herself.

I've spoken to a couple of my friends that have been there and they say that every once in awhile you can email from governmemt run internet cafes that they've set up. Not sure about browsing though. The only time I ever got emails from them, they were very short and non-descriptive. More of a \"Hey, I'm not dead, see everyone later\" type of thing.

Man, thats crazy! Dont get hurt, change your scheldule every day, dont grab any boxes of ciggaretts on the ground. watch out in building and wagons for rpg attacks. :( maybe you'll be able to come home early eh? bush is thinking about pulling out you know. God bless.

Maybe my dad will be the one flying you in. He flies most of the army into kuwait. If you go on a World Airways plane it might be him.
