Since I'll be gone soon, I thought I'd be lazy and not google this first [or look in these forums]
I'd like to know if anyone has any knowledge of creating videos. What I mean is, if I have my digital camera and use it to take a video, how would I put a soundtrack of my own choosing behind it?
Also, if I had a whole slew of pictures, how would I stick them all together to make \"video slideshow\" of them with some background music?
I'd like to know if there are any freeware apps out there that will help me do this as I plan to send not only pictures back home, but also some videos maybe [nothing too graphic due to my wife and daughter]
Pinnacle isn't professional software, by any stretch. They are a consumer-line software company, a child of Avid. Adobe Premeire Elements is easily the single best, NLE for the budget filmmaker. It's $100, and outclasses the competition like sliced bread versus a rock.
...but yeah. I have no idea where my posts went. : /

Eh ok, after buying the lappy and the tons of other stuff I'll want/need, I won't have much money left. I think I'll stick with Windows Movie Maker. I'm not trying to make world class films, just something to get home to the family. I didn't even think of the Movie Maker that comes with windows.

I was under the impression that you used Adobe Premiere Pro.

Heh, I can't afford that program. I have used um... a ... uhh... \"free\" copy of it before... so I know how to use Premeire Pro... and I know what it's like. Elements is so darn close to being Premeire Pro, I can't see how people justify USING Premeire Pro. Seriously, the bang-for-buck you get with Adobe Premeire Elements is unreal.
...and I don't have that \"free\" copy anymore, that's why I bought Elements, because I don't like to use \"free\" software. I figured I better do as I say, so... whee.
Define \"amazing\", in the context of video editing, please. Do you edit videos regularly? Do you have any experience with video editing? Why can you not create \"amazing\" videos with windows move maker?
