Anyone on the easterly side of the Atlantic who hasn't had the chance to make it to the last few stateside showings of Video Games Live -- which played to a varied crowd of industry and general fans in San Jose at this year's GDC -- will be pleased to learn that the show is due to make its first UK appearance in late November.
There, VGL covered a large swath of bombastic material from the past few decades of gaming -- from Mario, Zelda and Castlevania through Metal Gear Solid and Tomb Raider, and, more recently, World of Warcraft, Halo, and an extensive medley from show organizer Tommy Tallarico's own Advent Rising score. The show sets itself apart from the competition by offering a more interactive experience, as with the GDC's show full-screen live-accompanied Frogger competition.
Video Games Live will be coming to London's Hammersmith Apollo on the 25th of November, with tickets going on sale this Thursday the 7th, at a cost of £25. To order, you can visit www.aeglive.co.uk, or call 0870 405 0448.
