In the first four days, 460,000 UK gamers plumped for a copy of the Master Chief’s final farewell which is about a third of all UK Xbox 360owners.
Of course, some would claim that 1-in-3 is hardly startling for the most hyped game of all time but it’s not bad for four days and you ca nbe sure that Christmas stockings boasting the game will be every where come the Silly Season.
Overall, Halo 3 has notched up around $300m (�147m) in sales for itsfirst week and around 2.7 million gamers have since played it via Xbox LIVE. More importantly for Microsoft, sales of the 360 console have doubled worldwide on a weekly basis since launch.
