I do not believe you can. Otherwise, you would be forced to get it illegally, but we won't be discussing that here. ;)

You cannot get it without paying. However there are free alternatives to XBL, such as XBC. They are not as good, but are free. Also for games like Halo that do not have XBL support, you can use XBC to play online with other people.

I'm not talking about paying. I am talking about having it without a subcription code. Wait where is the silver scratch off stuff where you see the subscription code?

I am not sure about the way XBOX Live works since I use a Playstation 2. But, I assume the subscription code comes when you pay for an account?

The headset comes with the XBL Starter Pack, but you need to buy a an XBL subcription to use it. If you have not used XBl before, the starter pack is perfect since it comes with a 1 year subscription, headset, and a free game (don't know what it is now). I think that is it.

I have a starter thingy and it's 3 month free trial. So I unsubscribed when the free trial ended. Now I have 12 months left but I can't find the subscription code. I forgot where the silver scratch off stuff was.
