Who here owns an iPod?
I do - an iPod Shuffle to be precise
Who here has napster?
I do - well only on trail basis!
Who here has last.fm?
I do - And I love it!
If you answered yes to most of these questions then I have a really BIG treat for you.
Ever wish that you could have a last.fm service on your mp3 player?
Well the time is near, imagine this, Stalker (a service similar to last.fm) will be launching a product which allow you to constantly refresh your music, like a radio station, how does it do this, well through a combination of satelights and wi-fi, basically most of the world is covered by satelight dishes, but this will cross over to wi-fi if you are in a hotspot. The player is not just a streamer, it can also used as an everyday player. This look likes a true iPod contender.
Just to let you know the streaming service will be free - although adverts will be put in place, however for a small fee of around £3.00 a month you will recieve the premium service with a few extra bits and bobs as well as no adverts.
At the moment the company offers a last.fm/pandora service, but around summer time it will outpass this model and become somthing special and unique.
Also the player itself doesn't look half bad and I can tell you now when we get this product over in the UK i will deffenatly be getting one.
The 'Jukebox' software:
So what are you getting well think about it your getting free* streaming service which has different channels and one which matches your music tastes as well as standalone mp3 player, so your getting a last.fm / napster service.
MiLLzZ - would have done sadly it was on a shitty computer with IE5 on it (could have used firefox's) also that computer didn't have word or notepad on it so i was stuck really and found it out like ten minutes before the end of college so i was in a bit of a rush to get it posted.
