OK I am planning to install Fedora Core 4 from 4cds. I have P4 2.93Ghz, 256MB RAM, Intel 915GV chipset with onboard 128MB GFX. I mainly require advice on what would be an ideal minimum partitioning for linux. My currnet partitioning is simple, C & D drives have 39 and 35.4 (why not 39 Id like to know!) I currently have 28 Gb aprrox free on each drive. And Id like to use Linux just for learning and a LITTLE bit of installing if I get a chance. The problem is that my partitions are in NTFS format. I would like to know the minimum HD free space required to install it. Also would it be ok if I used Partition Magic to make my D drive a little less space and make an E drive for Linux initially in FAT32 format so that the setup can use auto-partitioning to convert it into Linux's format? Any other additional advice would be welcome! Thanks.

I have not used Fedora Core in a while, but IIRC it does all the partitioning for you.

You don't need to.  As KoolDrew said, the Fedora Core installer will handle all of the partitioning.
