And Halo gets boring after a while. There really isn't much of a plot to it. Most XBOX fan boys only play Halo on XBOX, nothing else.
Halo doesn't get boring to all people. My neighbor has been playing Halo and Halo 2 constantly since it came out. And I mean constantly. He is never doing anything else.
You are right though. Halo can get a little boring at times. But there are other games. Personally, I like some of the RPGs available on the xbox (I beat KOTOR nine times...). Most of the \"football fanatics\" play Madden just as obsessively as people play Halo.
My point is that Halo isn't the only game that tons of people play on the xbox for long periods of time.
I play Halo 2 on Xbox live ALL THE TIME. Plus for the 360 there is Perfect Dark Zero, Oblivion, Madden, Gears of War, FINAL FANTASY XI OMG, Call of Duty 2 and so much more. I haven't heard any new games for PS2 or PS3 that are too good.
You say that xbox live sucks. You don't even own an xbox. Don't talk about things you don't know about.
I don't need to own one to know about it, Iv'e spent plenty of time learning about it's hardware, and I know many people that own them.. and have used the live system, and I still think it sucks..
If I want to play online games, I'll use my computer.. infact if I had the choice, I'd play all my games on my computer.. I don't like consoles much that more, and the industry went flop when xbox came along.. and if things carry on the way they are, there won't be any point of buying future nintendo or sony consoles.
I didn't say the ps3 was going to be better because of it's hardware, infact I remember the ps2 having half the clock speed of the xbox, yet it still sold better. It doesnt matter how good xbox is, I'll proberbly never like it, just like I never liked the dreamcast.

Well so far PS3 has had no publicity whatsoever. For the 360 I heard about PD0 a looong time ago. Same with Oblivion and Call of Duty 2. Plus the MTV special, even if it sucked it was still publicity. And with every10minutes.com and faceplate contests the 360 has gotten way more publicity and absolutely NOTHING about the ps3 has been heard except the specs which may be a bit better than the 360, it doesn't matter if the developers can't utilize it in their games.
Also that Halo2sucks website pretty much doesn't like anything at all about the game that is different. They don't like how every single map from halo 1 isn't available, how there is no atv, how the bases in coag are 3 leveled. That site sucks.

If developers cannot utilize it in their games? Glen, do you realize that the only GOOD game on XBOX is Halo? The other good ones came from PS2, like FF, GTA, etc. Most native XBOX games suck.

Oh and er.. for those of you that don't yet know.. the production costs of the xbox are more than the retail costs (lowered prices in 04 to compete better with ps2).. As ps2 are good at manufacturing good consoles for minimal amount of money, if xbox wants to compete again, they'll have to loose a heck of a lot of money per console sold. Exactly the kinda game dreamcast played. Look where it got them.
And if nintendo are about to buy capcom and sonic team, then they will get games excusivly for there consoles.. like resident evil and stuff.

PS2 has Final Fantasy, Grand Theft Auto, Gran Turismo, Racket and Clank, Jak 1 & 2, Tekken, Kingdom Hearts, etc.
