Hey everyone it's Dark Ninja...

Ah this topic is really just a place to post your pc specs and any wanted upgrades you may be getting... might even wanna post what u want in ur next pc.

Anyway my specs are the following... i guess they're descent:

CPU: AMD Athlon 64 3000+
RAM: 1GB Corsair Extreme Performance CAS LATENCY 2.0
HDD: 2x80GB HDD
GPU: Nvidia Geforce 6600GT 256MB
MOBO: ASUS Salmon AGP Motherboard  <_<

and thats pretty much the important specs worth mentioning.

I dunno if i'm gonna upgrade anything at all till my new pc but if i do it will probally be my 6600GT and i'll probally upgrade to the Nvidia Geforce 7800GS which is thankfully AGP interface meaning no expensive PCI Express upgrade 4 me yet  :D

I'll post my next wanted computer specs later k cause i'm kinda in class suppost to be doing my SOSE assignment on global media  <_<

cya ppl

Thnx
Dark Ninja

Mine isn't the fastest setup, but I'm really, really happy with it. Insanely happy with it. Seriously, I'm really happy with it. Outstandingly. Did I mention my computer f**king rules? Okay okay... here it is. :D

Dell Dimension 8300:
  • Pentium 4 (Northwood), 3.0 GHz, 800 MHz FSB, 512 KB L2 Cache
  • Dell Dimension 8300 Motherboard, i875P/ICH5
  • Corsair ValueSelect 2 GB (2 x 1 GB) DDR-400 SDRAM, 3-3-3-8
  • ATI Radeon X800 XL, 256 MB, AGP 8x
  • Maxtor DiamondMax 10, 250 GB, 16 MB Cache, 7200 RPM, SATA 150
  • Maxtor DiamondMax 9, 80 GB, 2 MB Cache, 7200 RPM, EIDE
  • Sony CD-RW
  • MicroAdvantage 8x DVD+/-RW
  • Creative SoundBlaster Live! (Needs upgrading :D)
  • Logitech Z-5300 5.1 Surround Sound Speakers
  • Dell M783s Flatscreen CRT Monitor
  • Logisys KB606BK Illuminated Keyboard
  • Kensington Optical Elite Optical Mouse
  • Flexiglow FGMPFX FX Pro Mousepad (it glows :))
The below is my \"use and abuse\" machine. It has had various flavors of Linux and Windows installed on it, and has even had the honor of BeOS (which isn't much of an honor, the OS sucks). It has had Windows Vista and Mac OS X, and it's the machine I use to test stuff on.

It cost me $111 to build after two friends of mine (brothers) handed me a Compaq MS-6541 motherboard and a 1.8 GHz Celeron and said, \"If you can fix it, you can have it.\" Turns out the problem wasn't either the board or the processor, but rather a CD-ROM drive that had seen better days. I offered it back, but they said it was fine, so I bought a 2.4 GHz Pentium 4 for $81 and a case off of one of my friends for another $30.

A_Pickle's Use-and-Abuse Box:
  • Pentium 4 (Northwood), 2.4 GHz, 533 MHz FSB, 512 KB L2 Cache
  • Compaq MS-6541 Motherboard, i845G/ICH4
  • Micron 512 MB (2 x 256 MB) DDR-400 SDRAM, 3-3-3-8
  • ATI Radeon 9600 XT, 128 MB, AGP 4x
  • Western Digital WD400 40 GB, 2 MB Cache, 7200 RPM, EIDE
  • KHypermedia 4x DVD+/-RW
  • Creative SoundBlaster Live! (Needs upgrading :D)
My laptop is nice (it works :D) it just needs... to be replaced. Since, for the time being, I'm stuck with this 'til I get my fingers on a Dell Inspiron E1705, I'll say this -- For a six-year old laptop, I'm impressed. The thing runs like a champ, and it has convinced me to look at Compaq in a much different light.

Compaq Presario 1700US (Notebook):
