Shouldn't this be expected? Sony is only shipping 400,000 units to the US right now anyways. Also, the rush for the Wii was much less than that for the PS3. Basically, more people got their hands on the Wii than the PS3. The figures right now really have nothing to do with which console is in greater demand. It's all about the # available and the time it takes to get one. For esample, I can order a Wii from CircuitCity right now, but for a PS3, I have to wait...until next May? Possibly?

Only around 262,813 PS3s have been sold. That means there are still lots more out there somewhere. Either way, Nintendo is winning. They actually opted not to have a bulit-in DVD player(sorry Sony, I don't need one I already have one ) they aren't having problems getting the Blu-Ray players like Sony. Fact is, Nintendo gives its customers what they want. Plus, they make a profit off of every unit sold, unlike the PS3 which loses Sony about $300 a unit. There are also estimates that the Wii will have shortages even though there are lots more coming. Nintendo=Back on top
Sony already made all the money they ever needed with the Playstation 2. Also, as time progresses, Sony (as will Microsoft) will find cheaper, more efficient production facilities, where they can make the console cheaper, and thus they will make a profit off of it. Also, Sony will make up for the current loss for each console with the games sold.

For the first time, Nintendo is out of the competition. And that is what they wanted when they designed there Wii gaming & entertainment console. Just let Microsoft's XBOX 360 & Sony's PlayStation 3 battle it out. This leaves Nintendo in a different segment of the industry. They attract gamers & most importantly grown-up's. Nintendo \"WILL\" sell much more Wii systems then Sony's PS3's IMO.
Microsoft was very smart to only sell an HD-DVD player Add-On (Works with your PC under Windows XP) which are currently selling quite well.
The only problem I see with the PS3 is there useless Blu-Ray drive. That drive drove up costs in production & was responsible for the PS3 delays. And once again, is resopnsible for the PS3 recalls happening all over, but Sony already spent a lot of money in a marketing to hide the problems.
